Man Conquers
Space TEASER III
Quicktime 7 required
Here is the latest teaser for Man Conquers Space.
Soundtrack credit: "Trinity and Beyond",
by William Stromberg for VCE
Man Conquers
Space demonstration
clips
These clips are three examples of finished material
made for MCS, albeit here at very low resolution (for the sake
of bandwidth)
The two Mars shots are in widescreen, as the Mars
crews took the largest format cinema camera available to them
at the time (these predate IMAX).
The astronaut has been filmed using a 16mm camera,
inside the cabin of a Moon-bound craft. Here he demonstrates
the interesting effect of weightlessness on water.
These clips are silent.

Sequence
This sequence was originally assembled as a demonstrator
and exhibited at TORCON 2003. Now here it is available for everyone
to see.
At just over 4 minutes long, it is designed to resemble
how MCS would look in 2.35:1 cinema ratio, and show how much
of the archival-looking clips would appear.
The soundtrack is original, composed and performed
especially for this short by Valley
Forge, and the clip stars Ben Maclaine as an anonymous astronaut,
guiding us through the events leading up and during the launch
of a Saturn-I ferry rocket.
This sequence is not destined to appear in the finished
film.
